I think everything reminds 2-4 year-olds of Sesame Street. I know my 4 year-old can make a SS reference out of anything. One day, I was watching PTI, the ESPN show, and my son shouted “Sesame Street”. I said, “No, it’s PTI”. He then said, “There’s Elmo” and pointed to the screen. I told him no, but when he got up and touched the screen, I saw he was right. Amid the mounds of sports clutter in the background on the set, there was an Elmo doll. How my son ever spotted it is beyond my comprehension, but it taught me one thing. Never underestimate the power of Sesame Street.
